Use case: An auction is coming up and you want to reach the landowners around it, such as neighbors who may want to bid, or owners who may be thinking about selling.

Find an Upcoming Auction

1
Click Layers in the left-hand menu, open Farms, and turn on Farm Sales
2
Under Organizations, select Sourced Auctions. Under Status, select Active so only upcoming auctions show.
3
Click an auction on the map to open its details in the Selected Farm Sale panel

Run the Owners Report Around the Auction

1
Right-click the map at the auction’s location to open Options, then click Available Reports
2
Click Owners Report. The report opens in a new tab, already filtered to owners within 10 miles of that spot (Search Radius Distance to Parcel < 10).
3
Narrow the list with more filters. For example, set Total Owned Acres to >= 100 to focus on larger landowners. The Total Operation Count updates as you filter.

Download the Mailing List

1
Scroll down to the Total Owned Acres By Operation table, which lists each owner with their mailing address
2
Click the three vertical dots at the top right of the table, then Download
3
Name the file, choose a file type (such as CSV), and click Download

Target Owners in a County

You can build the same kind of list for an entire county instead of the area around an auction.
1
Click Reports in the left-hand menu, then Ownership Data > Owners
2
In Parcel County, State, select the county (for example, DeKalb, IL)
3
Add filters to target the owners you want, such as:
  • Owner State is not the county’s state, to find absentee landowners
  • Total Owned Acres > 100
  • Operation Category is Producer or Other
4
Download the Total Owned Acres By Operation or Total Owned Acres By Unique Parcel Owner table, as shown above
