A contact is a person your organization tracks: a customer, a prospect, or a landowner you’re working to reach. Selecting a contact opens its panel beside the map at a URL like /map/contact/9854, so you can bookmark one or send it to a teammate. Use Center map in the panel header to fly the map to the contact’s address, and the back arrow to return to the list you came from.

Overview

The top card identifies the contact:
  • Avatar — colored by relationship: one color for Customer, another for Prospect.
  • Name, with the city and state of the billing address beneath it.
  • TypeCustomer or Prospect. A contact counts as a customer when it’s marked as an account, or, for contacts synced from Salesforce, when it has products associated with it.
  • Age — shown when a date of birth or approximate date of birth is on file.
  • Relationship Manager and Crop Insurance Officer — the people on your team who own the relationship.
Where the contact is linked to an outside system, links appear here too: a Salesforce link to the account, and a UCC buyer link when the contact is matched to filings. The menu in the card’s corner holds the record actions, depending on your permissions and how the contact got here:
Editing and deleting require the Create/Edit Contacts permission. Contacts synced from a CRM are read-only in CamoAg — edit those in the source system.

Contact Info

Contact Info lists the ways to reach the contact. Email opens a new message, and every phone number is a link that dials:
  • Email
  • Primary Phone
  • Any additional numbers, each labeled by type — secondary, home, business, or mobile.
When the record is incomplete — missing a phone and email, or missing an address — the section also offers Request Contact Information, which searches third-party data for a phone, email, address, and age.

Contact Enrichment

What a request returns, what it costs you in permissions, and the Do Not Call warning.

Addresses

Each address on the contact is shown in its own block, labeled Primary, Billing, or Shipping, with a directions button that opens turn-by-turn navigation. Select an address to copy it.

Tags & Products

Tags & Products counts the tags applied to the contact and the distinct products associated with it. Tags are how you segment contacts for filtering and reporting — see Manage Tags.

Operation & connections

When the contact’s address is part of a known household, the panel lists the operation the contact belongs to and the other contacts at that address, so you can move from one person to the rest of the farming business in a click.

Contacts dashboard

Manage → Contacts lists every contact you can see, one card each with the name, address, quick call and email buttons, the same options menu, and the relationship manager and crop insurance officer along the bottom. Create Contact adds a new one. Sort the list by created or updated date, and narrow it with the filter panel:
Without the View all Organization Contacts permission, you see only the contacts you’re assigned to as relationship manager.

Creating a contact

Create Contact on the dashboard opens a blank record. Creating one from a parcel or operation instead pre-fills the name and address from that record. Editing an existing contact adds the rest: multiple addresses, each with its own type, and multiple phone numbers, each labeled by type.

On the map

Contacts appear on the map as pins at their address — which is the contact’s mailing address, not necessarily the ground they own. A contact in Cedar Rapids who owns a parcel in DeKalb shows up in Iowa.
