The search bar on the main control sheet is the single place to find anything in the app. One search looks across Contacts, Operations, Parcels, and Farms, drops the matches on the map, and lists them in the sheet grouped by type. Tap the search bar at the top of the main control sheet. Before you type anything, the sheet shows:
  • Paste and search — if you’ve copied an address, it’s offered here so you can search it with one tap.
  • Recent Searches — your last searches. The three most recent are shown; expand the section to see the rest.
  • Search Examples — one tappable example of each kind of search.
The category buttons, Filters, and the scope control sit above all of this, so you can narrow a search before you run it.

What you can search for

The search bar takes more than names. As you type, address and place suggestions appear under the search bar. Picking one puts the keyboard away, drops the sheet to half height, and centers the map on that spot in the part of the map you can still see. An address’s details include a Directions button.
Addresses and coordinates go to the spot first. To search for records there instead, run the same search again — for coordinates, that searches the ground within about two miles of the point.
Four buttons at the top of the search panel — Contacts, Operations, Parcels, and Farms — control which record types are searched and drawn on the map. A button is colored when it’s on and gray when it’s off.
  • Turn a category on after searching and only that category is fetched; the rest of your results stay put.
  • At least one category always stays on.
  • Your selection is remembered the next time you open the app.

Search scope

The scope control next to Filters sets how wide the search goes. Your choice is remembered.
Searches across the entire United States, regardless of where the map is positioned. This is the default.
Search this Area stays hidden while a detail sheet is open or the search panel is pulled up to full height, so it never covers what you’re looking at.

Filters

Tap Filters to narrow results. The badge on the button shows how many filters are applied. Location sits at the top and applies to every category. Search for a county by name and select one or more from the list. Below it, each category has its own filters: Tap Apply to rerun the search with your filters, or Clear to reset them. Backing out of the filters screen without applying leaves your current filters as they were.
Contacts and Operations need at least one contact type selected. Farm acre filters take whole numbers only.

Results

Results are grouped by category, with the first few matches in each group. When a group has more, tap See all to view that category’s full list on its own. Tap another category button to leave the full list and go back to your previous selection. Tap any result to open its detail sheet: Contacts, Operations, Parcels, or Farms. If nothing comes back, the search panel stays open with the scope control and category buttons above the message, so you can widen the search — switch to National, remove a filter, or turn on another category — instead of starting over.
