The map screen
When CamoAg opens in the car you land on the browsing map, showing the same data layers you have turned on in the phone app.Explore
Top-left of the navigation bar. Opens the Explore grid described below. It
stays available while you’re navigating, so you can look something up
without ending the route.
Recenter
Snaps the map back to your location after you’ve panned away.
Pan
Puts the map in panning mode so the car’s controls move the map. Tap it
again — or use the on-screen dismiss control — to return to normal.
Zoom + / −
Steps the zoom level in and out.
Explore
Explore is the hub. Tapping it opens a grid of eight buttons:The Explore grid in CarPlay — Contacts, Operations, Farms and Parcels on the top row; Recents, Layers, Search and Settings on the bottom.
Nearby lists need a location fix. If CamoAg can’t determine where you are, it
shows an alert on the car screen instead of an empty list.
Contacts
Lists the CRM contacts nearest to you, each row showing the contact’s name and address. Customer contacts and prospects carry different icons so you can tell them apart at a glance. Tapping a row opens the contact card with:- Call — dials the contact’s primary phone, when they have one.
- Directions — routes to their primary address. Contacts whose only address is a PO box don’t get a Directions button, since there’s nowhere to drive.
Operations
Lists the farm operations nearest to you. The card shows the operation name, its category, whether it’s Saved to your organization or still an unsaved CamoAg operation, and its primary address.- Contacts — opens the contacts tied to that operation; tap one to open its card.
- Save — appears only for unsaved operations, and mirrors Save to Edit in the phone app: it copies the operation into your organization so you can edit it.
- Directions — routes to the operation’s primary address.
Farms
Lists your nearest saved farms. The card shows the farm name, its coordinates, county and state, the number of parcels in it, and gross acres, with Directions routing to the center of the farm. See Farms for more.Parcels
Lists the parcels nearest to you. The card shows the parcel’s display name, coordinates, county and state, and gross acres. The parcel card offers one of two buttons depending on what CamoAg finds:- Contacts — when the parcel’s address already has contacts attached, this opens them.
- Save Contact — when it doesn’t, this creates a prospect contact from the parcel owner, the same as Save as a Contact on the phone. It requires permission to edit contacts.
Recents
Everything you open — on the phone or in the car — lands in Recents, so picking up where you left off doesn’t mean searching again. Each row shows the record’s name and a short subtitle, and tapping it reopens the detail card. If you haven’t viewed anything yet, the screen reads “No Recents — Items you view will appear here.”Search
Search looks across contacts, operations, farms, and parcels at once.1
Choose Type or Speak
CamoAg offers both when the car allows it.
2
While driving, CamoAg goes straight to voice
Most vehicles lock out the CarPlay keyboard in motion, so CamoAg skips the
chooser and starts listening. If the car locks the keyboard while the
chooser is already open, the Type option disappears on its own.
3
Speak your search
A “Listening…” screen appears and transcribes on-device. It stops on its own
after a short pause in speech, then runs the search.
Layers
Layers is the CarPlay version of the map filters on your phone, split into two sections.Data Layers
Toggle Contacts, Parcels, Operations, and Farms on or off.
Base Layer
Pick one: Hybrid, NAIP, Road, Light, Dark, or
Satellite. A check marks the active one.
Settings
Two toggles, both of which take effect right away:- Orientation → North Always Up — on keeps north at the top of the map; off rotates the map to the direction you’re driving. This is the same preference as Default Compass Behavior in the phone app’s Settings.
- Audio Settings → Mute Voice Directions — silences spoken turn-by-turn guidance without ending the route.
Getting directions
Tap Directions on any detail card and CamoAg cancels whatever route is running, returns to the map, and previews the new route before starting turn-by-turn guidance.Directions started from a CarPlay card always use CamoAg’s own navigation,
even if your Default Directions App is set to Apple Maps or Google Maps.
