**Target audience:** Land brokers, ag lenders, and marketing teams

**Use case:** You want to find the entities that are actively buying farmland in your market, such as investors and expanding operations, so you can do targeted outreach about listings, upcoming auctions, or financing.

## Open the Report

**Step 1**

Click **Reports** in the left-hand menu

**Step 2**

Click **Largest Farmland Buyers & Sellers**

> [!TIP]
>
> You can also right-click a spot on the map to open the report for the area around it. The **Distance to Address (in miles)** filter defaults to 10 miles when you open it this way.

## Filter to Buyers in Your Market

Click the funnel icon to the right of the filters to see every available filter.

**Step 1**

**Farm State** and **Farm County:** select the states and counties you work in

**Step 2**

**Buyer/Seller Relationship:** select **Buyers** to show only the entities purchasing land

**Step 3**

**Sold At:** choose a time frame, such as the last 2 years, to focus on buyers who are active now

**Step 4**

**Transaction Acres** (optional): set a minimum number of acres to focus on larger purchases

**Step 5**

Click **Update**

> [!NOTE]
>
> The averages and medians at the top of the report change based on the filters you apply.

## Review the Largest Buyers

The **Largest Buyers/Sellers** table lists each buyer and how much land they have purchased. Look for names that point to an investor, such as an LLC, trust, or fund, and for buyers that show up on several transactions.

The **Network** column groups parties who live at the same address, so you can see when several entities belong to the same buyer.

## Build Your Outreach List

Use the **De-Duped Direct Mail List** table for outreach. It removes duplicate addresses, so each buyer receives one mailer even if they bought land under several names.

**Step 1**

Hover over the **De-Duped Direct Mail List** table and click the three dots in the upper right corner

**Step 2**

Click **Download**, then choose a file name, file type, and row limit

> [!TIP]
>
> Try it: share an upcoming auction in your area with the top three buyers on your list.
