# Connecting Operations

Connecting an operation is different from merging an operation in that it keeps the two entities separate, but shows there is a connection between the two.

1. Locate the Operations you wish to connect on the map. Click on each operation then **Save to Edit** before proceeding
2. Select any operation you saved
3. On the **Operation** panel expand **Connections** and click on the name of a **Contact**
4. Scroll down to the bottom and click **+Connect Operation**
5. Select a relationship type and search for the operation
6. Click **Connect Operations**
