# Editing an Operation

> To edit an Operation you must enable the contacts layer and click on the contact card.

  <Step>
    Enable either the **Contacts** or \*\*Operation \*\*layer and click on the entity whose Operation you would like to edit
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Click the menu to the right of the name and click **Edit Operation**
  </Step>

  <Step>
    Edits that can be made to the following:

    * **Operation Name:** Rename the Operation to something familiar to your organization
    * **Category:** Assign a pre-existing category to the operation such as Producer or Agribusiness
    * **Estimated Operated Acres**
    * **Operating Locations:** If operations have been merged, you can assign an address as the primary location

    Click **Save Changes**
