# Operations
> Track who farms the ground: operator profiles, connections, acreage, and reports.
An operation is a farming business — the entity behind the ground, along with the people, acreage, and records attached to it. Selecting an operation opens its panel beside the map at a URL like `/map/operation/12345`, so you can bookmark one or send it to a teammate.
Use **Center map** in the panel header to fly the map back to the operation's primary location.
## Overview
The top card identifies the operation:
* **Category and contact type** — pills showing the operation's category (Producer, for example) and whether it's a **Customer** or **Prospect**. Where your permissions allow it, the contact type can be changed right from the pill.
* **Name** and **Primary Location** — select the address to copy it.
* **Operated Acres** and **Owned Acres** — estimated acres farmed, and the total acreage of parcels CamoAg has matched to the operation.
Two links sit below: **View Full Profile** opens the operation's full record, and **Operation Graph** visualizes its relationships.
The **Operation Graph** feature is available only to organizations with a CamoAg Enterprise subscription.
### Platform vs. your operations
CamoAg ships **platform operations** — records built from public and licensed data that everyone starts from — alongside the operations your organization owns and edits.
Opening a platform operation your organization has already saved redirects you to your own copy. If you haven't saved it yet, **Save to Edit** clones it into your organization so you can make changes without touching the shared record.
The menu in the card's corner holds the rest of the record actions, depending on your permissions:

| --------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Edit Operation | Opens the operation for editing. |
| Merge Operation | Merges this operation into another, for cleaning up duplicates. |
## Crops
**Crops** charts the operation's crop history. If CamoAg has no crop data matched to the operation, the section reads **No crop data**.
## Livestock
**Livestock** lists head count by category. Use **Add Category** to record a category that isn't listed yet and enter its head count.
Requires the *Create/Edit Operations* permission.
## Deep Research
**Deep Research** runs an AI report on the operation — holdings, affiliates, associated individuals, and verified addresses. The card shows when the last report was generated and links to it; **Generate Report** starts a new one.

## Revenue & wallet share
For organizations with purchase data loaded, **Revenue & wallet share** shows year-to-date purchases broken out by product category, the operation's total potential, and the share of it you've captured.
How total potential is modeled, what wallet share means, and the customer cohorts built on it.
Requires a CamoAg Enterprise subscription and permission to view organization purchase data.
## Contacts and key people
**Contacts** lists the people linked to the operation and how many are on file, with their phone numbers, emails, and addresses.
On platform operations, **Key people** lists individuals surfaced by research, each with a **High**, **Medium**, or **Low** confidence pill. Save the operation to turn key people into contacts you can edit.
Key People is a private beta feature, available only to select users.
## Notes
**Notes** shows how many notes are on the operation and when the most recent one was updated, with the two latest previewed inline. **View All Notes** opens the operation's profile.
## Tags & Products
**Tags & Products** counts the tags applied to the operation and its contacts, plus the distinct products associated with it. Tags are how you segment operations for filtering and reporting — see [Manage Tags](/account-settings/manage-tags).
## Highlight on Map
**Highlight on Map** turns the operation's related records into map layers, so you can see its footprint rather than read it as a list:

| Connected Operations | Operations linked to this one. |
| Mortgages | Mortgages recorded against the operation. Requires subscription and *View third-party mortgage data* permission |
| Recent Land Transactions | Recent sales involving the operation. Requires subscription. |
| Crop Insurance | Crop insurance policies. Requires subscription and the *View Crop Insurance policies* permission |
## Connected Operations
**Connected Operations** lists the operations related to this one and lets you **Connect Operation** to add a relationship.
Requires a CamoAg Enterprise subscription.
## Financial Filings & Policies
A single section gathers the operation's public financial record:
* **Mortgages**
* **UCC Equipment Filings**
* **UCC Blanket Liens** — lenders, most recent three years
* **Subsidy Payments**
* **Crop Insurance**
